I just got back from my second annual bestie trip where we did a little Greek island hopping, and I have to share the hotel we stayed at in Santorini – it was perfect!
Why the Aressana Spa Hotel & Suites in Santorini?
This hotel is part of the Small Luxury Hotels line, which I found through Hyatt (my favorite big hotel brand). I am a sucker for boutique luxury hotels, so when I saw that Aressana Spa & Hotel in Santorini had availability, I hopped on it immediately! Since this was my first time in Santorini, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but upon arrival I knew I made the best decision.
Aressana Spa Hotel & Suites Location
We could not have had a better location! Aressana is located directly in the center of Fira, making it fully walkable to incredible views, (sunsets included) delicious food, and shopping. It was also a short 4 minute walk to the main bus station, where the buses can take you all over the island very affordability, I might add. Even though Aressana Spa & Hotel is centrally located, it doesn’t feel busy or crowded, which we loved after walking through town all afternoon.
The Amenities at Aressana Spa Hotel & Suites
If you’ve been here for a while, you know I am an amenity-driven girly! What can I say, I like the little details. At check-in, we were treated to a delicious house-made lemonade as the front desk staff gave us a property tour, and after we settled into our room, the restaurant dropped off mocktails and a snack. How thoughtful! In the room, there were robes, slippers, coffee & tea, and yummy smelling bath products. I also forgot my US to EU adaptor, (rookie mistake) and the hotel let me borrow one for the entire stay. The Aressana Spa & Hotel also has a lovely pool with different options for seating and lounging, all first come first serve – but since the property is boutique, we had no trouble finding a spot. Lastly, there is free breakfast each day of your stay, and it is AMAZING. The spread had pretty much everything you would ever want at breakfast – greek french toast, eggs, cold cuts, house-made breads, parfaits, fruit and more. Plus, delicious coffee with unlimited refills (I loved the coffee!).
The Tefsion Kallos Spa at Aressana Spa Hotel & Suites
I would be doing you a complete disservice if I didn’t mention the Tefsion Kallos Spa at Aressana Spa Hotel & Suites. With a lengthy spa menu, it might be difficult to decide on what services to book, so I’ll help you out. We were treated to an hour in the Spa Relaxation Lounge (this was graciously gifted to us by the hotel) and that is a must! In the lounge, you have access to a hot tub, steam room, thermal beds, and showers. There is also a spa menu for light bites and drinks. Did I mention you get this all to yourself? The booking options are 30 minutes or an hour – book the full hour. After our hour in the lounge, I booked a lymphatic drainage facial that was absolutely dreamy after 25 hours of travel, and my friend booked the deep hydrating cooling treatment and massage and loved every minute.
