I needed a vacation, but only had time for a one night stay away, so I decided to book a room at the iconic Hotel LeVeque, an Autograph Collection property by Marriott. I loved every minute of my stay, and I wanted to share my experience with you!
I had always known I wanted to stay at Hotel LeVeque – it’s in my favorite building in Columbus, OH – and finally booked a room for my staycation. From check in to check out, everything was so thoughtful! I booked a double queen room (cash) and since Marriott was offering a bonus point offer, I earned enough points for a free nights stay to use later this year. (I’ll be using it for another staycation for my birthday!)
Hotel LeVeque
This hotel is iconic in the Columbus cityscape due to its shape and historic charm. With under 150 rooms, this boutique hotel offers so many modern touches, and has nods to the night sky throughout the property. The location is extremely walkable with the location directly in downtown Columbus, and some rooms have gorgeous views of the Scioto River Mile. The bathroom had to be my favorite part – an oversized walk-in shower, exquisite finishes, and a separate toilet closet. Truly the bathroom of my dreams!
At the time of my stay, I did not have status with Marriott, but I was still given a great room and even had a cheese and fruit plate waiting for me. It’s things like this that really make for a great stay!
The Food and Amenities
That evening I opted for dinner at the hotel bar, The Keep. While their mocktail selection was nothing to write home about, the burger I ordered was amazing, and the ambiance was a delicious combination of modern and moody. I sat at the bar and enjoyed my meal before heading up to my room for the evening. Sitting on my bedside table was a small R2D2 looking machine that I couldn’t wait to turn it – it transforms the bedroom ceiling into the night-sky, full equipped with shooting stars.
The next morning, rather than head to the Starbucks located on the first floor of the building, I put on my walking shoes and headed to Cafe Brioso located just around the corner. The cafe had light bites and yummy coffee, but the baristas are always so kind. I did end up heading back to Hotel LeVeque to shoot some content before packing up and checking out.
Overall
Hotel LeVeque is stunning! The beds are comfortable, water pressure is strong, and the amenities are beautiful. I loved it so much that I booked another night in August for my birthday. With it’s incredible walking proximity to so many great downtown restaurants and bars, I would absolutely recommend Hotel LeVeque for staycationers and vacationers alike. If you are a fan of using points, this hotel starts at 45K points per night, and in my opinion is very much worth it.
